Navy Blue Planning has provided town planning advisory and approvals to enable the refurbishment of the Stonelea Estate in Acheron, Victoria.
Stonelea was formerly a premier tourism, hospitality and events venue. In more recent times, the venue and its extensive grounds had fallen into decline.
Navy Blue Planning worked with the site’s new owner to examine the opportunities and constraints posed by the site. Tasks included:
- Planning advice to the client and project team.
- Liaison with Council land the Victorian Government.
- Masterplanning for proposed redevelopment of hospitality, conference, and tourist facility.
- Preparation and approval of town planning applications.
The project had several complex challenges to navigate, including site engineering, biodiversity, cultural heritage, drainage, and farm management.
